Daniel Charles Snyder, 80 of North East, MD, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at home. Born in Shamokin, PA, on January 16, 1926, he was the son of the late George Jacob and the late Nadine Tessie Tyson Snyder. Mr. Snyder was the husband of Yvonne T. Snyder of North East, MD. He served during World War II in the Army. He was the Owner and Operator of Dan Snyder's New Car Trades in Media, PA for over 50 years. Mr. Snyder was a member of Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, Charlestown, MD, where he was known to the kids as "The Candy Man". He and his wife helped support 3 missionaries. He was also a member of the National Park Services. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Bonnie Boyer of North East, MD, Lois Holmes of West Chester, PA and Carol Steinbrecher of Media, PA; two Step Daughters Susan Wilkins of Middletown, PA, and Carol Sauk of Magnolia, TX; two sisters: Jacquie Wheary of Lancaster, PA and Jean Wysock of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Snyder was predeceased by his first wife, Jean E. Truett Snyder. Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, 1168 West Old Philadelphia Road, Charlestown, MD, where family and friends may call from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Rev. Dennis Gilbert will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Bank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to: The Salvation Army, P.O.
