Robert L. Bour, Sr., 89 of North East, MD, died Monday, April 18, 2016 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in Wilkinsburg, PA, on February 12, 1927, he was the son of the late John and Velma N. (Yeager) Bour.  He was the husband of the late Bernice M. Bour.

Robert served his country proudly during World War II in the Army.  After the war ended, he served the rest of his enlistment with the Army’s Alaska Communication System.

He retired from the U.S. Government, Ag Department working as a Civil Engineer. 

He was a proud Penn State Alumni; enjoyed painting, and was a master tinkerer, making many interesting things.

Survivors include his two sons: Kirk S. Bour (Eve) of Aberdeen, MD and Eric Bour; two grandchildren: Nathan Bour and Rachel Bour; and a sister: Betty Johnson of Atlanta, GA.

In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was also preceded in death by a son: Robert L. Bour, Jr.

Memorial services, conducted by Frank McFadden will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1:00 pm.
