Dennis Charles Maxwell, Sr., 54 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at home.

 A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on September 17, 1960, the son of the late James E. Maxwell, Sr. and Mavis Ima Jean (Potter) Maxwell of Elkton, MD.

Dennis retired from Chrysler Corp., Newark, DE. 

He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and the Elkton Church of Christ.  He enjoyed music, singing and playing the guitar.  He loved spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Kathy Clemens and her husband David of North East, MD, Danielle Maxwell, Dennis Maxwell, Jr. both of Elkton, MD, Devon Maxwell and his wife Kandace, and Austin Carter all of Lincoln University, PA; a brother: James E. Maxwell, II of Perryville, MD; two sisters: Tina Shelby of North East, MD, Tanja Maxwell of Newark, DE; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his former wife: Dawn Carter Saganich of Lincoln University, PA.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Bill Tester will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:30 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in the Elkton Church of Christ Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
