I watched Samm grow from a beautiful little girl running around the neighborhood, babysitting my girls as a teenager and then having a child of her own. Every time I saw her she had a smile on her face. Always kind and thoughtful. Our hearts ache for the Ball family.

As an employee of Cecil County Public Schools I had the pleasure of working in classrooms with Sam and seeing her in the hallways of the middle school and then the high school. She was always so vibrant and full of life. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. It's always hard to lose a loved one, but even harder when they are still so young. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
