I'm terribly sadden by DJ's passing. DJ was my professor and my boss at the West End Theater at Hofstra. He retired shortly after I graduated and one of my favorite things was when he would excitedly show me his "retirement" countdown clock and talk about all his future plans. I miss his stories, his wisdom, and his dry sense of humor. He was a very special guy.

Dear Pat, Isabelle has been keeping us posted on how things were going for you and Jim, and our thoughts and prayers have been with you throughout this painful time. We remember the lovely lunch we had at your place with Isabelle. I know Isabelle is brokenhearted, and so upset she couldn't arrange transportation to be with you for Jim's services. Maine is a hard place to travel to and from. I hope you will be able to focus on all the wonderful memories of your lives together, and find peace. His struggle is over. Please know that you remain in our thoughts and prayers. Our condolences as well to Isabelle, Nancy Jean and Jerry and all the rest of the family. Louise

Condolences on your loss.
I was a student of DJ's at Hofstra. I had the great good fortune to spend all my tech work hours with him. He was a gift. A Teacher willing to speak to his students as a fellow journeyman not a rube. As he plays a central role in one of my favorite Hofstra stories, I hope he has time to look down next time I tell it. I lift my glass to you, DJ!

Dear Patty,
My prayers and love are with you. Jim was such a loving, caring person. I so enjoyed when he and I talked about trains.
Knowing Jim is in heaven and we will see him again, never to be parted.

Pattie, my dear - and Jerry, Nancy, and Isabelle,
I'm so sad for you. DJ, as I've always known him, was an incredible guy, so talented, so willing to share his talents, so loving to his family and friends. May you find peace in knowing that his illness has run its course and his hard journey is over. My heart hurts for you....

I was very sad to hear about DJ's passing. He was a fine teacher and I learned so much from him, especially when it came to the more practical, hands-on stagecraft used from show to show at the West End at Hofstra.

Peace and love to all of his family and friends.

Dearest Pattie,
I am saddened by the loss of a Jim. He was such a great guy. I will always remember his caring ways with your Dad aka: The Boss. The special conversations that we shared over many dinners out together. Hold onto all those memories you shared with Jim. For the heart never forgets one that it has loved.
I am, So Very Blessed to be able to call this great fellow my Friend. Rest easy now my friend till we meet again.
