Christopher Schmidt, 54 of North East, MD, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in Baltimore, MD, on December 31, 1961, he was the son of the late Bernard Leonard Hubert and Anita Durgin of Jonesboro, AR.

Survivors include his loving wife: Nancy Schmidt; his children: Jason M. Schmidt of Berwick, PA, Cory M. Schmidt of Rising Sun, MD, Melissa M., Emma R.  and Dylan R. Schmidt all of North East, MD; a sister: Kimberly Pierce of Jonesboro, AR; and his three grandsons: Wyatt, Hayden and Hunter.

In addition to his father, Mr. Schmidt was also preceded in death by a son: Joel C. Schmidt.
