William H. Pete Peterson

William H. Peterson, Pete 85 of North East, MD, died Saturday, January 26, 2008 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. He was born in Petersburg, VA, on June 24, 1922. Mr. Peterson was the beloved husband of Sylvia Mitchell Peterson of North East, MD. He served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground, where he worked as an Instructor. Mr. Peterson was a member of the North East United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 15, Elkton, MD, and American Legion Post 284, Colonial Heights, VA, where he served as past Commander. He enjoyed lively conversation, sports, computers and his family. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include: his children: Mitchell William Peterson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Pamela Rhea Prodey of Eldersburg, MD; Lori Lee Hutchins of Elkhorn, WV; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM at North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD. Rev. Daniel T. Gedman will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901.
