Velmer "Toot" Eloid Huff, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Velmer “Toot” Eloid Huff Jr., aged 63, on May 12, 2025. Born on February 10, 1962, in Elkton, MD, Velmer was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who brought laughter and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Toot graduated from high school and made a life as a self-employed truck driver, embracing the open road with a passion. Whether he was shooting pool with buddies, enjoying a spirited game of corn hole, or cruising on his beloved Harley-Davidson, Toot embodied a love for life and a zest for adventure that will be dearly missed.

He was a proud member of the Moose Lodge in Elkton, where he enjoyed gathering with fellow members and sharing in the camaraderie of the community. Alongside his hobbies, Toot cherished time spent boating, creating countless memories on the water. He loved watching his Baltimore Ravens and football with his family.

Toot is survived by his wife, Kelly Logue-Huff of Rising Sun, MD with whom they were separated; daughter, Stephanie Roberts (Kyle) of Elkton, MD; son, Joseph Huff (Coryn) of North East, MD; sister, Joyce Forrester (Sam) of Elkton, MD; brother, Earl Huff (Dottie) of Lake Wales, FL; and his cherished grandchildren, four of whom are already in his heart, Hailey, Alan, Owen, Tyler and one on the way. His family was his world, and he never missed an opportunity to express his love and pride for each of them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Velmer E Huff Sr.; his mother, Mayme (Foran) Huff; and his sister, Stella Mullikin.
