Samuel A Morris

Samuel A. Morris, 80 of North East, MD, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at home.

He was born on May 11, 1943.

Sam retired after 43 years of service as a Bridge Superintendent for Greggo and Ferrara, New Castle, DE.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 6027, North East, MD.  He loved car shows, enjoyed horseback trail riding and was a ‘farmer by heart”.  He loved the Town of North East and was very proud to talk about his beloved town.

Survivors include his four children: Tammy Morris of North East, MD, Nancy Adlar (Paul) of King of Prussia, PA, Michael Morris (Stefanie) of Elkton, MD and Stephen Morris of Elkton, MD; and nine grandchildren: Steven, Sam, Elliott, Alix, David, Hunter, Gage, Matthew and Jayden.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow services in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD.

Pallbearers will be Wayne “Cowboy” Young, Michael Morris, Paul Adlar, Hunter, Matthew and Gage Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VFW Post 6027, in care of the funeral home.
