Our beloved Brother, Father, Papaw, and Friend, Oscar Duane Combs, age 91, peacefully passed away on April 28, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Duane was born on September 23, 1931, in the small town of Coal City, West Virginia. He served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. Then, he worked for Eastern States for 42 years, while raising his beautiful family in North East, Maryland. Duane is survived in death by his children: son Steve Combs, daughter-in-law Jean Combs, daughter Becky Combs Hons, son-in-law Dave Hons, and son-in-law Jon Purple.
By his grandchildren: granddaughter Stefanie Combs Seamster, grandson Phillip Combs, granddaughter Jessica Purple (husband Mathew Meyer), granddaughter Jordan Hons (husband John Hons), and granddaughter Shannon Hons.
