Myrtle W. Parks, 94 of Rising Sun, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Born in Aldino, MD, on May 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and the late Laurinda (Young) Walter.  She was the wife of the late Harry R. Parks who passed on September 13, 2009.

Mrs. Parks worked for many years as a clerk for Cramer’s 5 & 10 in North East, MD.  She was a member of Shelemiah UM Church, Bay View, MD.

She enjoyed traveling, music and watching the Orioles play.  But most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Fran Burkheimer of Aberdeen, MD, Harry R Parks, Jr. of Aberdeen, MD, Mary D'Eramo of North East, MD and Tom Parks of Rising Sun, MD; one sister: Margaret Worthington of Level, MD; and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: William W. Parks.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shelemiah UMC or Amedisys Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
