Mary Elizabeth Humphries

Mary Elizabeth Humphries, 93 of Havre de Grace, MD, our “Honey” went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

A loving mother, grandma and great grandma, she was born in Port Deposit, MD, on February 16, 1928.

Mary retired from Perry Point VA Medical Center after many years of service in the nursing field.

She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Havre de Grace, MD and enjoyed bowling, bingo, knitting and crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter: Marguerite Jordan (Paul) of Havre de Grace, MD; two sisters: Lorraine Wilks of Philadelphia, PA and Jean Jones of Perryville, MD; two grandchildren: Tyrisha Wanzer (Dareyll) and Zakiya Jordan (Terry); and four great grandchildren: Inee’Shea, Terryon, Ariza and Kenasia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance of friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her father: John Theodore Owens; her mother and stepfather: Florence M. (Jennifer) Owens Stewart and Horace Stewart; a brother: John T. Owens and a sister: Joan Owens.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD.
