Margaret Frances Allen

Margaret Frances Allen, 84 of North East, MD, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of North East, she was born on July 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Walter and the late Adviana Alexander Culley. She was the wife of the late William W. Allen who died on Feb. 10, 1998. Margaret graduated from North East High School. She was a Seamstress and Floor Ladies Supervisor at Nanette Manufacturing for over 22 years. She was a member of the North East Methodist Church, North East, MD; American Legion Post #194 Ladies Aux. of Rising Sun, MD; the Moose Lodge, Elkton, MD, where she served as Senior Regent; Ladies Aux. of V.F.W. Post # 6027, North East and also the Ladies Aux. of V.F.W. Post # 8175, Elkton. She loved to sew, cook and play bingo. She loved family gatherings, and the joy of her life was time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include one son: Daniel Allen of Elkton, MD; her siblings, Sonny Culley of Lakeland, FL, Beulah Preston of Elkton, MD, Marie Dirubio of Perry, FL, May Gibson of Mulberry, FL; her grandchildren: Tammy Goheen of Ocean City, MD, Debbie Boyle of North East, MD, Robert Allen of North East, MD, Treasa Cimorose of Elkton, MD, Melissa Allen of Elkton, MD; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters, Elmer Culley, Clarence Culley, Wilmer Culley, Henry Culley, Carrie Richardson, Virginia Nedelak, Catherine Culley and Ruth Culley. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
