Lois Dale (Jamison) Russell
Born in Elkton, MD, on October 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dorian Dale and the late Kathryn Louise (Simmons) Jamison. She was the wife of the late William T. Russell, Jr. who died on Sept. 15, 2011.
Mrs. Russell retired from the State of Maryland, after 20 years of service in the Equity Dept. of the Clerk of the Court.
She was a member of North East United Methodist Church, North East, MD, where she taught Sunday School and the Elkton High School Alumni Association.
She enjoyed dancing with her husband Bill, painting which she started at age fifty, gambling with great success, bridge club and spending winters in her Florida home.
Survivors include her loving children: Susan D. Mercer and her husband Theodore L. Mercer, Jr. of Crumpton, MD and Steven T. Russell and his wife Pamela Sue Russell of Marion, IA; A sister: Nancy Mann of Elkton, MD; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother: John Jamison.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Karen Bunnell will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.
