John F. Kreiser

John F. Kreiser, 84 of Elkton, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Christiana Care, Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

Born in Columbia, PA, on October 22, 1939, he was the son of the late James I. and Blanche E. Kreiser (Reissinger).

John served his country proudly for 22 years, 6 years in the U.S. Army and 16 years in the Maryland National Guard.

He retired from Trojan Yacht (Elkton) after 33 years. John continued his working career for another 15 years at the government pharmaceutical center in Perryville, MD.

He was a member of North East Methodist Church, North East, MD. John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening, camping, snow skiing and boating. He was a talented woodworker and had a knack for repairing just about anything. Most of all, he loved his family and especially adored his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years: Anna Mary Kreiser; daughter: Michele E. Lang (Kenneth) of Unicoi, TN; brother: James Kreiser of Lancaster, PA; sisters: Rebecca Dancause of Columbia, PA, Sarah "Sally" Garber of Columbia, PA and Martha "Marti" Kemmick of Columbia, PA; his beloved grandchildren: Courtney M. Lang, Sean M. Lang, Rachel E. Lang; and great grandchild: Sonny E. Hamrick.

In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his son: John David Kreiser; and siblings: Blanche E Staub, Harry Kreiser, and Mary Ely.

Funeral service will be held Monday, November 20 at 10:00 am at North East Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.

Interment will follow services in Silver Spring Cemetery, Silver Spring, PA.
