Jean Ann (Morris) Truitt

Jean Ann Truitt, 80 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Newark, DE.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on May 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Dorothy C. (Cantler) Morris.

Mrs. Truitt was a homemaker and had previously worked for C & J Clark Shoes, Kennett Square, Pa in the accounting office.

She was a member of New London Baptist Church, Kelton, PA & St. John’s UM Church, Fair Hill, MD; and enjoyed flower gardening, crafts, bird watching and church activities.

Survivors include one sons: Benjamin F. Truitt, Jr.; one daughter: Teresa Truitt; and four grandchildren: Katherine Ray Truitt Mackie, Michael Alan Truitt, Heather Elizabeth Brown and Cheyenne Raine Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Linton A. Truitt.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Karen Bunnell will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until service.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association, both in care of the funeral home.
