Harold “Butch” Collins, 77, passed away on Sep 12, 2020. His final days were spent with family he loved.
Butch was born April 12, 1943, in Havre de Grace, MD to Kellis Collins and Gladys (Smith) Collins. He was a lifelong resident of Cecil County.
Butch was a carpenter his entire life. Being outdoors, fishing or going for a little “5” mile walk made him the happiest. He enjoyed playing pool, archery and shooting. He loved brainteasers, strategy games and puzzles. “Chess” was his absolute favorite thing. Although no one would play him, because he’d beat the pants off of you every time!
If I were to list just 2 things I admired most about my dad, it would be that in my life, I’ve never heard him say anything bad of anyone and he accepted people for exactly who they were.
Butch is preceded in death by his son: Keith, his parents: Gladys and Kellis, brother: Kellis Jr. and sister: Juanita.
He is survived by his brothers: Delbert & Rodney, sisters: Rebecca and Emily, his daughter: Shanin (mother Diana) and his step-children: Timmy, Jake, Chrissy and Matt (mother Vickie) as well as 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
