Douglas Paul Shelley

Douglas Paul Shelley, 64 of North East, MD, passed peacefully at home Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on April 13, 1959.  Doug was a high school graduate that over the years has worked for The Bainbridge Job Corps. as well as Chrysler Corp., and currently as a security officer for Sunstates Security.

Doug was a member and volunteer firefighter for the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department in Charlestown, MD.

He was a dedicated Ravens fan who enjoyed grilling out, cutting grass and most of all watching the old school cartoons on Saturday morning with his grandson, Ryland.  Their laughter would fill the home with so much joy and will be greatly missed.

His survivors include his loving wife: Deborah Lockard Shelley; stepdaughters: April and Diana Rolfe; his daughters: Amanda and Samantha Shelley; siblings: Rita Racine, Danny, Michael and David Barrow; his grandchildren: Andrea Thompson, Braydon Hampton, Cornelia Wright, Genesis Keyes, Ryland Rolfe and Auriiana Rolfe; great grandson: Kashmyre Stewart. Survivors also include his special cousins: Charlie Roosa and Anita Kestel and favorite niece: Brittany Newsome.

Doug was preceded in death by his father: Richard P. Shelley; mother: Marie (Atkinson) Shelley and sister: Cynthia Marie Shelley.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
