David A. Tuttle, 65 of Port Deposit, MD, died peacefully with his wife at his side on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Born in Sacramento, CA, on April 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Edward D. and the late Emma Tuttle.

Mr. Tuttle was a self-employed over the road trucker.  Before he began trucking, he was a race horse trainer for many years on both the East and West Coasts.

Growing up on a ranch in Sacramento, CA, he was taught about horses by his father.  He enjoyed polo and team roping.  He was known for the horse stories he told and for helping people with schooling their horses.

Survivors include his loving wife: Nancy L.(Guiberson) Tuttle; his son: John Nelson of Klamath Falls, OR; 2 grandchildren: Jack Nelson and Hailey Nelson; his brother-in-law, Howard Guiberson of Elkton, MD; and 3 very close friends: Mark Koschmider of MI, Mike Sturgeon of FL and Connie Giese of CA.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church, 1195 Firetower Road, Colora, MD, where the family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 PM.
