Austin Timothy Matheson, 17 of Chesapeake City, MD, died Friday, November 16, 2018 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

He was born in Johnson City, TN, on June 20, 2001 and was a student at Providence School, Elkton, MD.

Austin is survived by his mother: April M. Rhoades of Chesapeake City, MD; father: Jason T. Matheson of Mountain City, TN; 3 brothers: Allen Matheson of Mountain City, TN, Eric Rhoades and George Rhoades both of Chesapeake City, MD; his maternal grandparents: Connie & Arnold Hill of Chesapeake City, MD; paternal grandmother: Robin Joyce of Mountain City, TN; maternal great grandmother: Lorraine Varnadare of Mountain City, TN; and his aunt with who he had a close relationship with: Heather Peirson of Elkton, MD.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
