Wilma L. Williams, 83 of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fleetwood, NC, on October 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Harris H. and the late Annie (Cook) Lemly. She was the beloved wife of Albert W. Williams whom she married on June 15, 1947. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
Wilma graduated from Fleetwood High School in 1947. She and her husband attended Elkton Church of the Nazarene for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, baking and caring for her family.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her 2 children: Steve Williams of Pembroke, VA and Loretta Whiteman of Philadelphia, PA; 2 brothers: Clayton Lemly of West Jefferson, NC, Tracy Lemly of Fleetwood, NC; 2 sisters: Ola Belle Edwards and Aliene Lemly Young both of West Jefferson, NC. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by 4 brothers: William, Richard, Norman and Ithel Lemly; and 3 sisters: Ruth Green, Edwina Kincaid and Lorene Edwards.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. James Moyers will be held Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Elkton Church of The Nazarene, 377 Nottingham Road, Elkton, MD 21921.
Interment will follow in Rose Bank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
