William Joseph Yanchulis

William Joseph Yanchulis, 54 of Elkton, MD, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 in the Christiana Hospital, Christiana, DE. Born in Wilmington, DE on March 14, 1953, he was the son of Josephine M. Zynel Yanchulis, of Elkton, MD and the late William A. Yanchulis. Mr. Yanchulis was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Yanchulis of Elkton, MD. Mr. Yanchulis was employed by Shop-Rite as a store manager working at the Newark, Stanton and Concord Pike stores. He was a member of St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church, North East, MD. He enjoyed fishing and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include: his children: Ann Marie Griffith of Rising Sun, MD; Elaine Margaret Underwood of Charlestown, MD; and William J. Yanchulis, Jr. of Knoxville, TN; and his 7 grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, January 28, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD. Father Joseph Piekarski will officiate. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Elkton, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Yanchulis’ memory to: The Lymphoma Society or to: St. Jude’s for Children, both in care of the funeral home.
