William Albert Streaker

October 10, 1936 – December 15, 2017

Mr. William “Bill” A. Streaker, age 81, of North East, MD, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Friday, December 15, 2017.  Born in North East, MD on October 10, 1936, he was the son of the late Ralph Albert and Myrtle Streaker.

Mr. Streaker graduated from North East High in 1954, retired from DuPont in 1992, and turned his decoy carving hobby into a small business – Bill Streaker Decoys.  He served as a Life Member of the North East Volunteer Fire Company, a Life Member of the Upper Bay Museum, and an active member of the Oxford Gun Club.  He was a devoted, life-long Baltimore Orioles fan.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Paula Helene Streaker, son William B. Streaker (Kimberly) , North East, MD, daughter Kimberly Streaker, North East, MD, and sister Penelope Brinkley (Douglas), North East, MD.  Mr. Streaker is also survived by six grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 beginning at 11:30 am.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in Mr. Streaker’s memory to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, Newark, DE, in care of the funeral home.
