February 10, 1961 – July 25, 2013

William Dale Reeves, 52 of Elkton, MD passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

William “Dale” Reeves known by many as HEAVY was born in Elkton, MD on February 10, 1961, to the late William L. Reeves Jr., and Vanda (Brumit) Reeves .He was a lifelong resident of Cecil County.

Through the guidance of his father, Dale became a very skilled welder; a 4th generation trade in the Reeves family.  Unfortunately, due to a disability, Dale had been unable to work as a welder in recent years.

Dale developed a love for music at an early age and had an amazing talent to play guitar, sing, and write.  At any gathering, people would sit and listen to Dale’s talent for hours, and never was there a time when he would turn down a request.  Music was his passion; so much so that he passed the same love of music onto his oldest grandson JoJo. Dale was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and seldom missed a game. Harley-Davidson’s were also at the top of Dale’s list and though he didn’t ride it had always been his desire to own one. Above any other pastime Dale adored time with his two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father William L. Reeves, Jr., and nephew William Lawrence Reeves, III.

Survivors’ include his mother, Vanda Reeves of Spring Hill, FL; his loving wife of 31 years, Roxanne (Lynch) of Elkton; two daughters; Amber Reeves of Elkton and 3rd Class Petty Officer Amanda Reeves of Yokosuka-shi, Kanagawa, Japan; two grandsons: John Dale and Trent.  Also included are three siblings and their spouses:  two brothers: Randy Reeves (Ange) of North East, Donny Reeves of Elkton and one sister, Sonia Boone (Randy) of Chesapeake City;  In-laws: Ron and Maxine Lynch of Charlestown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A.,  127 South Main, North East, MD , where visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM.
