William L. Kreiss, Jr.

William L. Kreiss, Jr., 75 of North East, MD, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, on September 30, 1935, he was the son of the late William L. Kreiss, Sr. and the late Ivory Kreiss. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Kreiss retired from Lever Brothers where he worked as a driver. He also worked at Cecil County Public Schools. He was a member of the American Legion Post 194, Rising Sun, MD. He is survived by his loving wife: Catherine Kreiss; his children: Howard, Debbie and Bob Kreiss all of North East, MD; his grandchildren: Bobby and Tyler Kreiss, Jeff Green all of North East, MD; and his great grandchildren, Cheyanne Blake and Alexis McKinney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dawn McKinney. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday, April 28, 2011 starting at 11:00 AM prior to services. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Community Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
