William A. Hoerr, Iii

William A. Hoerr, III, 80 of Port Deposit, MD, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Baltimore, MD, on April 19, 1930, he was the son of the late William A. Hoerr, Jr. and the late Helen Kaufman Hoerr. Mr. Hoerr was the loving husband of Mildred Spratt Hoerr of Port Deposit, MD. He served in the Maryland National Guard. He retired as a foreman from Harford County Public Schools. Mr. Hoerr was a member of Janes United Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD; AFYAM #44, Bel Air, MD; Tall Cedars Har-Ce; Havre de Grace Scottish Rite. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children: Pamela June DeMuro of Jarrettsville, MD; and William A. Hoerr IV, Debbie of West Friendship, MD; three stepchildren: Paul W. Coale, Patricia Kay of Rising Sun, MD; Cathy E. Haigler Ian of SC; and Jeffrey K. Coale, Debbie of Conowingo, MD; his siblings: Helen E. Gohman of TX; Catherine Buchanan of FL; John Donald Hoerr of PA; Charles Henry Hoerr of FL; Thomas R. Hoerr of TX; and Robert C. Hoerr of TX; also three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Schurman. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening, November 11, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Memorial services for the Masonic Lodge and the Tall Cedars will begin at 7:30 PM. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. James Jones will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home. Interment will follow services in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD.
