It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Wanda Ward, beloved wife, mother, and friend, who departed this life on November 25, 2025, just days shy of her 85th birthday. Wanda was born on November 30, 1940, and spent her life spreading kindness and warmth to all those around her. Residing in Elkton, MD, Wanda was well-known in her community for her passions. She found joy in baking delightful treats and cultivating her vibrant garden, which was the pride of her home. Wanda was also an active member of the North East Methodist Church, where she generously shared her time and talents, touching the lives of many. Wanda's spirit will also be remembered for her love of the arts, particularly her cherished moments spent at the Milburn Stone Theater, where she often found joy in the performances that brought the community together. She served as a dedicated employee of the Cecil County Board of Education, working in the front office at North East High School for many years and later in Administration at the Board of Education.Wanda is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Ward, daughter Kimberly M. Ward (Stephen Dal Nogare), son Guy C. Ward (Marjorie), grandchildren Elizabeth Dal Nogare, Cameron D. Ward (Emma), John Charles Ward, Benjamin C. Ward, and great-granddaughter Madelyn Ward, who will continue to carry her memories in their hearts. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Omar Cameron and Lucille Cameron, and sisters Lois Cameron Bannister and Susan Cameron Barkley.A service to honor Wanda's life will be held on December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 10:00 am at North East Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901, where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Interment will follow immediately at North East Methodist Cemetery.
