Walter Irvin Guy

Walter Irvin Guy, 78 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in North East, MD, on March 18, 1926, he was the oldest son of the late John and Edna May Hammond Guy. He served during World War II in the Army. Mr. Guy worked for the Cameron family at the North East Fire Brick Company; he spent years as a commercial fisherman with Mr. Murphy of Charlestown, MD; he worked with Cliff Cooper on the dredge; and then went to Owens Boat Yard in Perryville, MD. He enjoyed working anywhere that kept him near the water. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to auctions. He was a member of the V.F.W and attended North East High School. Survivors include John Howard Guy, Clifford Guy and wife Judy, Allan Guy, and Doris Guy Stamey, all of North East, MD, Georgia Gene Skinner and husband Wayne, of Bayville, NJ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, the late Lillian Guy Magraw, and a baby brother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Friends may call Friday, March 4, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
