Vivian Delores Griffith

Vivian Delores Janney Griffith, of Elkton, Maryland, died in Union Hospital, on Thursday July 28, 2005. Born in Killarney, West Virginia, on May 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Walter Roscoe and Vinnie Pearl Coalson Janney. She was a waitress, employed by Family Restaurant in Elkton, Maryland. Vivian is survived by husband Harry Griffith of Elkton, Maryland, predeceased by first husband Raven Smith who passed away in 1980. She is also survived by daughter Bridgett A. Piasecki, Galena, Maryland; son Ray Smith, Newark, Delaware. Siblings include brothers Elmer Janney, Oxford, Pennsylvania; Fred Janney, Elkton, Maryland; sisters Mildred Vance, Zetta Hermanns, and Drema Grafton, of North East, Maryland; Mary Gibney and Wilma Crouch of Rising Sun, Maryland; a stepdaughter, Cathy Griffith, Florida. Vivian is also survived by five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Griffith was a member of VFW post 8175, Elkton, Maryland. She enjoyed playing horseshoes and was an avid football and NASCAR fan. Visitation will be Monday August 1, 2005, 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Funeral service will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East Maryland, Monday, August 1, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Rev.
