Viriginia Rose (Black) Sears
Mrs. Sears was born August 21, 1925 in Ashe County to Noah Marlin and Nettie Severt Black. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ovid Darrell Sears, grandchild, Angela Harris and eight sisters.
Mrs. Sears enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, feeding the birds and was an avid flea market lover.
She is survived by: one daughter: Brenda Harris of Jefferson, NC; one son: Timothy Sears and wife Barbara Sue of Rising Sun, MD; one sister: Mamie Eller of Laurel Springs, NC; five grandchildren: Alexander Harris and wife Angela, Christopher Harris and wife Donna, Eric Harris and wife Laurie, Nicholas Sears and wife Jennifer and Stacey Hom and husband Timothy; also surviving are thirteen great grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Crouch Funeral Home P.A. 127 South Main St., North East, MD, where the family will welcome friends from 1:00 PM until services time.
Interment will be in the North East Methodist Cemetery.
