Virginia Linell Parks, 57 of Greensboro, MD, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on December 19, 1951, she was the daughter of Willard A. Parks, Sr. and Bertha Virginia Hackworth Parks of Elkton, MD. She is survived by her parents, as well as her brother, Willard A. Parks, Jr. and his wife Carol of Bridgeville, DE and her sister Deborah J. Smith and her husband Donald of Rising Sun, MD. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and great nephews and nieces all of whom she dearly loved: Brice Parks, his wife Denise, and children, Courtney, Craig and Collin all of Preston, MD; Teresa Raynor, her husband Nathan, and children Isabelle, Cara, Kassie and Joshua all of Bridgeville, DE; Nathan W. Smith, his wife Jennifer, and children, Nathan II and Alexis all of Rising Sun, MD; Brant Parks, his wife Brandy, and children Madison and Milo all of Seaford, DE; and Jen Terrizzi and her husband Scott of Alpharetta, GA. She devoted many years to spending time with them, taking them on trips, teaching them and loving them with all her heart. She was a devoted aunt who cared deeply for her family. Linell was a teacher in the Caroline County School System for over 34 years. As a dedicated kindergarten teacher, her life's passion was the children. She devoted her life not only to her family, but to the many students that were blessed to be in her class. She cherished her friends, some of whom she knew since childhood. She enjoyed traveling and going out to dinner. Her loyalty and love further speaks volumes about how much she cared for the people in her life. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Hal Owens will officiate. Interment will follow in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD.
