Virgie Lougay (Barton) Crabtree

Virgie Lougay Barton Crabtree, 73 of North East, MD, died Monday, September 12, 2016 in Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

Born in Hayside, VA, on April 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Walter Barton and the late Naomi (Barton) Hoke.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Amberson Crabtree; their children: David L. Crabtree, Donald R. Crabtree  and Connie Alley all of North East, MD; her siblings: Curtis Barton of FL, James Barton of WV, Christine Keebler of Elkton, MD and Nadine Crabtree of North East, MD; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother: Eugene Barton.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ralph Massie will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 5:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 4:00 pm until service time.

Interment will be private.
