Viola May Sells, 65 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Union Hospital, Elkton, MD, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton on March 25, 1948, the daughter of the late Harry and the late Lucy (Tester) Rogers. She was the wife of the late Oscar Harrell Sells who died Nov. 30, 1989.
Prior to her retirement due to a disability, Viola was a production worker at Blue Chip in Elkton, MD. She enjoyed crafting, singing, gardening and watching her birds.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Donna Adair and companion Bob of North East, MD, Sandra Laxton and husband Steve of West Grove, PA, Cheryl Kaul and husband Charles of North East, MD; her life partner: Ralph Martin of North East, MD; 3 sisters: Lorreen Harris and husband Pete of North East, MD, Florence Moore and husband Billy of Conowingo, MD, Susie Nagle and companion Dennis of Charlestown, MD; 7 grandchildren: Dewayne Swauger, Steven Adair, Brandon Adair, Michael Sells, Chanell Adair, Mark Sells, Matthew Sells; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will welcome friends beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow services in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
