Vikesh Patel

Vikesh Dipak Patel, 33, of Arlington, Virginia, died tragically in Washington D.C. on January 29th 2025.

He was born in Leicester, United Kingdom in 1991 to Dipak and Ramila Patel. Only 14 months younger than his sister Dhanisha, they were inseparable from the very beginning. The family moved to the United States in 1998. From a young age, Vikesh was wise beyond his years and often helped his parents with the family business. He earned the nickname of the “diamond” because he was such a bright light in the family.

Vikesh earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering at UMBC and went on to become a highly accomplished global operations leader at GE Aerospace. It was at GE that he met the love of his life, Audrey. They were married in 2024 and were expecting their first child when Vikesh passed away. He did not get the chance to meet his son, Niam.

Vikesh will be remembered for his infectious enthusiasm. He was constantly striving to be the best version of himself and inspired others to do the same. He was the husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose curiosity, humor, care, and leadership will live on in those who were lucky enough to have him in their lives. His dream was to leave a legacy, and there is no question that he succeeded in that endeavor despite being taken from us far too soon.

Vikesh is survived by his wife Audrey, son Niam, parents Dipak and Ramila, and sister Dhanisha.
