Velia Ratliff Weaver

Velia Ratliff Weaver, 87, of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at home, following a long bout with pulmonary disease.Born in Grundy, VA, on November 24, 1917, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Ora Belle Stiltner Ratliff. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her brothers, Ercel and Amel Ratliff; and sister, Eula Wright. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Reginald Weaver; 4 daughters, Betty Rhoades, Linda Pettitt, Kay Sexton, and Doris Weaver Huebner; siblings, James Ratliff, Jr., William Ratliff, Ample Ratliff, Jerrell Anderson, Marie Hodges, Udell Darnell, Retha Miller, Anna McCall; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2005, at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD. Rev.
