Vance B. King

Vance B. King, 72 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at home. Born in Rural Retreat, VA, on March 28, 1937, he was the son of the late Owen Repass and the late Charlotte Elizabeth Groseclose King. He was the husband of the late Selma Ann King who died April 4, 2001. He retired from Chrysler Corp. after 29 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, gardening and small engine repair. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his four sons: Vance E. King of Rising Sun, MD, Roger W. King of Port Deposit, MD, Johney B. King of Rising Sun, MD, Danny J. King of North East, MD; his siblings: Marlyn Robinette of Bel Air, MD, Linda Mars of North East, MD, David O. King of Rising Sun, MD; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD; with visitation for family and friends beginning at 2:00 PM. Rev. Mark Pullman will officiate. Interment will follow in Freemont Cemetery, Nottingham, PA.
