Tonya Rachel (Cadle) Sawyers

Tonya Rachel Sawyers, 45 of North East, MD, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Hampton, VA, on August 1, 1976.

Prior to her retirement, Tonya worked as a medical assistant at Perry Point VA Medical Center, Perry Point, MD.  She was a member of Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, Charlestown, MD.

Survivors include her beloved husband: Jimmy L. Sawyers, Jr.; three daughters: Amber C. Howell of Lovettsville, VA, Alyssa P. Howell of North East, MD and Alaina N. Howell of Naugatuck, CT; two stepsons: Logan G. Sawyers of Lawton, OK and Zander G. Sawyers of Lawton, OK; her parents: James and Mary Cadle of Colora, MD; and her brother: Jonathan E. Cadle (Wendy) of Bunker Hill, IN.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Dennis R. Gilbert will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, 1168 West Old Philadelphia Road, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
