Tom Art Carnill

Tom (Art) Carnill, 86 of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 23, 1931 and the son of the late Earl and Bessie Carnill.

He served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

Tom worked for Chrysler as a maintenance supervisor, retiring after 32 years of service.  He was a beloved member of Praise Assembly Church Newark, DE.

Survivors include his loving daughter: Linda Lannen (Charles) of Elk Mills, MD and four sons: Sam Walter (Linda), Tommy Carnill, Timothy Carnill of Elkton, MD and Rodney Carnill (Beth) of Winchester, VA. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years of marriage: Evelyn P. Carnill; 2 daughters: Stephanie Carnill and Connie Wetmore; a grandson: James Walter; and a great grandson: Eric Wetmore.

Funeral Services, conducted by Pastor Michael Petrucci will be held 11:00 am on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Praise Assembly Church, 1421 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in North East United Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
