Thomas Anthony Lewis

Thomas Anthony Lewis, 90 of North East, MD, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 8, 2008 at home. Born in NY, on June 8, 1918, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a Comptroller working for Metro. He was a member of Knights of Columbus for over 30 years and also a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, North East, MD. He enjoyed golf and traveling. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years: Margaret M. Lewis of North East, MD and three sons: Thomas A. Lewis, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert J. Lewis of Narrangansett, RI, and William E. Lewis of North East, MD; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, August 10, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and Monday, August 11, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD. Father Joseph Piekarski will officiate. Interment will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to: North East Volunteer Fire Department or Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, both in care of the funeral home.
