Thomas Edward King

Thomas Edward King, 89 of North East, MD, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born on November 22, 1934, the son of the late Thomas A. and Mary (Biddle) King.

Prior to his retirement, Tom was the owner/operator of King’s TV.

He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, gardening and playing cards.  He was quite the craftsman, wood carving and restoring old clocks and was an avid collector of old bottles.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years: Doris (Shockley) King; son: Steven T. King (Jackie) of Lusby, MD; two daughters: Julia L. Fisher of North East, MD and Lynda A. Kelsey (Scott) of Selbyville, DE; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia Jayne King.

Services will be private.

The family would like to thank caregivers: Carla, Sham, Tanisha and Kalisha for the loving care shown to Tom.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to either the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons or the American Heart Association, both in care of Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901.
