Thomas William Ball, the son of Nancy Ball and the late William Ball, passed away on December 18, 2025. He was born in Havre de Grace in 1955. He graduated from the Tome School in 1973 and High Point College in 1977.

As a youth, he enjoyed horseback riding. He was an avid reader and artist working mostly in pen & ink. As a member of a small medieval historical group, he was invited to participate in the re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings and privately toured the armor collections in several museums while in England. He also wrote a book and lectured on the subject. He enjoyed target shooting, model building and looked forward to vacationing with his High Point friends at the Outer Banks each fall.

Tom was predeceased by his grandparents, father, and niece Samantha. He is survived by his mother Nancy, of North East, MD, brother Curtis, and his wife Paula of Elkton, MD, his sister Elizabeth Perkins and her husband Kevin of SD., seven nieces and nephews, and five great-nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026, with visitation starting one hour prior at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 S. Main Street, North East, MD. Interment will follow services at St. Mary Anne's Cemetery, North East, MD

Donations in his memory may be made to Cecil County Public Library in care of the funeral home.
