Swanson B. Musick

Swanson B. Musick, 62, beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Rising Sun, MD, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2009 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Cleveland, VA, on May 8, 1947, he was the son of Verlene J. Musick of Cleveland, VA and the late Berkley Musick. Mr. Musick was the husband of Judith Musick of Rising Sun, MD for 41 and a half years. He retired from GM where he worked as an Electrical Supervisor. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Steven Swanson Musick and his companion Heather of White Hall, MD; Melissa G. Cohen and her husband the Rev. Jack Cohen of Port Deposit, MD; Amanda Musick Willis and her husband Trevor of Chesapeake City, MD; and John B. Musick and his companion Erin of Elkton, MD; his sisters: Linda Barton, Shirley Brown and her husband Herb, Wanda Powers and Marilyn Musick and her husband James; and his grandchildren: Mason, Jacob, Emma Gayle, Rachel, Hannah, Judah and Makenna. In addition to his father, Mr. Musick was also preceded in death by his brother, Ira G. Musick. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. In addition, a memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday starting one hour before the service. A private family interment will occur at a later time. Rev. Jack D. Cohen and Rev. Conrad Cohen will officiate.
