Stella Isabel Hammons

Stella Isabel Hammons, 85 of Perryville, MD, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in the Christiana Hospital, Christiana, DE. Born in Portsmouth, NH, on October 23, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Don L. and the late Ruth Marden Glidden. Mrs. Hammons was the wife of Earl Hammons of Perryville, MD. She was a Restaurant Hostess, employed by the Chesapeake Restaurant, Baltimore, MD for over 19 years. Mrs. Hammons was a member of Member North East Senior Citizens, North East, MD: Eastern Star #84, Elkton, MD; and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Cedarettes of Har-Ce Forest #142, Perry Hall, MD. She was an avid bowler, serving as secretary of the Elkton Senior Bowling League. She was also a member of the North East Seniors. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: William Freeman of Boynton Beach, FL; a brother: John Glidden of the Philippines; and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
