Stanford Leroy Barton

Stanford Leroy Barton, 64 of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Christiana Care, Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

Born in Elkton, MD, on October 9, 1957, he was the son of the late Stanford P. and Mariposa Avolene (Rhodes) Barton.

Stanford served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a welder and mechanic.

He loved old muscle cars, especially Chevelles and Corvettes.

Survivors include his children: Mandy Barton of Elkton, MD, Michael Barton of Kalispell, MT, Kimberly Barton-Jordan of Chadds Ford, PA and Amy Hymer of Elkton, MD; one sister: Sarah Nock of Powellville, MD; one brother: Lloyd Barton of North East, MD; seven grandchildren: William, Quinn, Eli, Emma, CJ, Sierra, Hanna; and ten great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 pm until 6 pm at Moose Lodge #851, 71 Cherry Hill Road, Elkton, MD.
