Sidney Burnell Foster

Sidney Foster, 76 of North East, MD, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in Clay, WV, on June 19, 1941, he was the son of Rena P. (Foster) Gray.

He retired from Veltech, Newark, DE and Schultz Mobile Homes of 15 years.

Sidney enjoyed gardening, fishing, yardwork and his yorkie, Pebbles. He could “talk your ear off” and make friends anywhere. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years: Alice Foster of North East, MD; daughter: Nancy Slonecker of North East, MD; step son: Bobby Ray Harkless (Barbara) of North East, MD; six grandchildren; Ashley Tolson; Katelyn Slonecker; Shanna Headley; Virginia Perkins; Bobbie Jo Mac Beth; Bobby Harkless Jr. and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where services will start at 2:00 pm.
