Shirley Ann (Sanders) Riley

Shirley Ann Sanders Riley, 72 of Elkton, MD, formerly of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at home with her family by her side.

She was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, on February 27, 1949, the daughter of the late Arthur Edward and the late Nora Lee (Simmons) Sanders.  She was the wife of 53 years of the late Travis Ezell Riley, Sr.

Prior to her retirement, Shirley worked as a nursing aid.

She was a very loving mother and loved her husband with all her heart.  She also loved cats and enjoyed reading and working search word puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter: Ann Reeves (Gary, Sr.) of MD and two sons: Travis Riley, Jr. (Erin) and Tony Riley (Donna) all of AL; sisters: Faye Hall and Gayle Hall both of AL; brothers: Bobby Sanders of TN and Ray Sanders, Sr. of AL; 9 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
