Shirley Ilene (Miller) Eldreth
Born in Clifton, NC, on April 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Park Miller and the late Rose Richardson Ashley. After the death of her mother, Shirley was raised by her grandparents, the late Joseph M. and MayBelle Gilley Richardson.
Shirley was a resident of Cecil County for over 60 years. She worked for Triumph Explosives, RMR and Lass Sewing.
She enjoyed reading, loved to cook, bake, canning, crossword puzzles, flowers, gardening and watching T.V., especially the Price is Right.
Survivors include a son: Anthony Eldreth of Newark, DE; a daughter: Pamela Eldreth of North East, MD; granddaughter, Kristen Spaulding; 2 great granddaughters: Sophie Michelle Spaulding and Annelise Isabella Spaulding all of East Providence, RI; and several nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Shirley was also predeceased by a daughter: Tammy Eldreth Price; brother: Joseph Thomas Ashley; and sister: IlaBelle Richardson Day.
Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Dr. Allen P. Dickerson will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
