Shirley Brown Bradley

Shirley Brown Bradley was born on May 21, 1938 in Lomax, NC.  She resided in Cecil County for the majority of her life and retired in Newark, DE.  She passed away on December 11, 2015 with her loving daughter, Terri, by her side.

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother: Edna Patton; her father: Jesse Brown; and her brother: Robert Patton.

She is survived by her children: Robert Bradley III (Robin), Terri Bradley (David), Daphne Young (Greg) and Eric Bradley (Marcy); 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister: Patricia Selle; her faithful companion: Tom Nixon; and many lifelong friends.

Shirley was a proud graduate of the North East High School Class of 1956.  She planned and participated in her class reunions for many years, maintaining lifelong friendships with many of her classmates.

She worked in a variety of positions for the Cecil County Public School System, but spent the majority of her working years at APG, retiring from there as a budget analyst.

Shirley greatly enjoyed dancing, traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly by many.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guest from 1:00 pm until service time.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Oral Cancer Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
