Sharon Lynn (Broad) Kerns

Sharon Lynn (Broad) Kerns, 65 of Aberdeen, MD, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Born in Ashtabula, OH, on May 17, 1959, she was the daughter of Thomas Broad and Esther Mae (Mixer) Broad.

She served her country proudly in the Air Force.

After her discharge, Sharon continued working for the Federal Government for a total of 28 years, retiring in 2015.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Havre de Grace, MD, where she and the love of her life, Stanley H. Kerns were married on May 9, 2009.

Survivors include by her husband: Stanley Harold Kerns; one sister: Brenda Lee Scafidi and family of Wood Dale, IL and one brother: Thomas Glen Broad and family of Massillon, OH; three grandchildren: Laci Nicole Brooks of Bel Air, MD, Jason James Brooks of FL and Raven Scarlett Brooks of FL.

Sharon was also preceded in death by her two sons: Charles Douglas Brooks, Jason Thomas Brooks; and two brothers: Mark Thomas Broad and Lance Dean Broad.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
