Sarah Huester (Presnell) Rogers

Sarah Huester Rogers, 80 of Elkton, MD, passed away at home Friday, December 8, 2023.

Born in Dyersburg, TN, on June 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Christine (Pugh) Presnell. She was the loving wife of the late William Rogers.

Before retirement, Sarah was a toll collector for the State of Maryland at the Tydings Bridge toll location.

She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, reading Amish books and playing cards. Sarah loved animals, especially dolphins and going for a drive somewhere. Most of all Sarah cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Sarah is survived by her children: Jim Buchanan, Jr. of Elkton, MD, Leisa Williams of Pensacola, FL, Dorita Jermyn of Elkton, MD and Chuck Huester, III of Smyrna, DE; step children: Charlote & Pare Bowleg of Sasakwa, OK, Sheila & David DuBois of Corfu, NY, Michelle & Harold Moran of Corfu, NY, Nicole & Chuck Frank of Baltimore, MD and Shannon Hoffman of Orange, VA; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sarah was preceded in death by her son: Eddie Buchanan.

Memorial service will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations go towards help with funeral expenses, in care of the funeral home.
